Keto Life: My Favorite Things to Help Keep Me in Ketosis

As the owner of iSWEAT LODGE, with two locations in San Diego, there never seems to be enough time in the day to get it all done.  In between meeting new clients and walking them through the process at iSWEAT LODGE, I’m also managing staff, promoting my business at local events and sharing my love of keto. 

 

 

 

It’s been a full year of my keto life journey and I’m proud to say I’ve lost 35 pounds and continue to lose fat and gain muscle.  I’ve tried many diets in the past and my weight has been up and down for years.  It wasn’t until I discovered keto that my life has changed forever.

 

 

 As I prepare to be certified as a keto coach, I’m an Independent Pruver for Pruvit and love learning new “keto hacks”.  I want to share with you my favorite things that help keep me in a state of ketosis.

 

#1 Pure Therapeutic Ketones are my secret weapon to having endless energy, focus and appetite suppression! I was skeptical at first, but so happy I tried a sample and now I can’t go a day without drinking one of them as part of my keto life.  It’s a way to quickly put your body in ketosis and also helps to keep you in ketosis if you are not eating strict keto or want to have a “cheat”.

#3 Snack Substitutions are key and should be made with your diet while eating keto. For instance, my favorite snack is chips and guacamole.  Instead of eating the tortilla chips, I’ll dip carrots or jicama instead. 

 

#4 Keto margaritas? Yes, it’s true.  What goes better with “chips and guac” than a cold glass of margarita?  Well, consider that  tequila is low in calories.  Compared to vodka, a 1-ounce shot of tequila is 64 calories, while vodka is 96.  Tequila is made from 100% agave and won’t spike your blood sugar.
